Office trailers are extremely convenient, as they are relatively inexpensive to rent and can easily be moved to any site. However, it is very important to bear in mind that office trailers, like all edifices, are subject to local regulations. These vary from state to state, so familiarize yourself with local laws in the state you plan to work in.
In some instances, a businessperson will not be required to get a permit for the trailers. This is particularly true if the office trailers are solely used for temporary storage purposes. However, trailers that are used for work purposes, even on a temporary basis, usually have to have a permit and the renter is responsible to acquire this permit before bringing the trailers onto the construction site.
A person renting a trailer will likely also need to comply with provisions related to persons with disabilities. In many cases, rented or leased trailers will be required to have wheelchair ramps and/or hand rails. Depending on the company's location, there may also be requirements related to hooking a trailer up to an electrical and/or sewage connection. Environmental regulations may also be in place in certain states.
